About Delco Park Electric

An Electrical Company Started in Kettering in 2007

Delco Park Electric is an electrical company in Kettering, Ohio. It serves homes and small businesses in the city and in the neighboring communities of Oakwood, Centerville, Moraine, Beavercreek and southern Dayton.

Hugo Kim started the company in 2007 for two reasons. He wanted to spend more time on the work itself, and he wanted to answer directly to the people whose homes he was in. Both reasons are still visible in the way a job is handled. The person who comes out to look at a problem is Hugo Kim, the owner, and the customer hears the findings and the plan for the work from the same person who looked at the panel.

What the Company Values in Electrical Work

The habits of the company come from its owner’s own start in the trade. Hugo Kim’s first job was pulling wire through attics on new houses, which taught him to respect a tidy panel: conductors routed cleanly and every breaker identified, so that the next person to open the cover can read the system without guesswork.

He also likes the problems nobody can explain, such as a circuit that trips only when it rains, and the older Kettering houses where he traces what earlier owners changed. Faults of that kind are the center of the company’s electrical repair and troubleshooting work, which also covers flickering lights, breakers that will not stay on, and outlets and switches that have stopped working.

Behind all of it is a plain view of the trade: good electrical work mostly goes unnoticed once it is finished. The lights come on without a flicker, the breakers stay set through a summer of air conditioning, and nobody thinks about the panel again.

Questions on the Phone, Then a Look at the Panel

Every job begins with a call or a message about what is going on. A few questions follow about the problem, the age of the building and where the trouble shows up, and then a time is set. Hugo Kim comes out to look at the panel, the wiring and the area in question. He goes over what he found and lays out the work before any of it begins. The full sequence is set out under How We Work.

Homes and Small Businesses

The company works for two kinds of customers, and each has a page of its own:

Five Lines of Electrical Work

The services themselves fall into five lines of work, each described on its own page:
